Last weekend we had the pleasure of exhibiting at The Game Fair, one of Britain's most iconic country events, and what a weekend it was.

Setting up our stand was no small task. Between transporting rails, furniture, mirrors, mannequins and hundreds of garments, then carefully dressing every display, it was certainly one of the most physically demanding events we've ever done. Add temperatures well above 30°C, and it became quite the challenge! Thankfully, our air conditioning unit became the unsung hero of the weekend, keeping both our visitors and us comfortable throughout the three days.

One of the greatest pleasures of exhibiting at those events, is seeing so many familiar faces return year after year. We were incredibly grateful to welcome loyal customers who travelled from all over the country to see us once again, alongside many wonderful new customers discovering Gabriela Rose London for the very first time.

Many people ask why they can't find every piece on our website.

The answer is quite simple.

At Gabriela Rose we produce our garments in very small, limited editions. Each coat or jacket is made in only a handful of pieces, often with different outer fabrics or signature silk linings, making every garment wonderfully unique. Rather than filling our website with styles that may sell out after just a few pieces, we prefer offering many of these exclusive designs at our events.

There's something truly special about experiencing the collection in person.

Trying on the garments, feeling the weight of the British wool, the softness of the velvet, the precision of the tailoring, and discovering the exquisite silk linings inside each coat is something photographs can never fully capture.

Only a few weeks ago I was in Lake Como, Italy, working with our printers to select the next collection of beautiful silk prints that will appear inside future Gabriela Rose pieces. Every lining is designed to transform the moment a coat opens, revealing an unexpected work of art hidden within.

That is the beauty of what we create.

When you leave wearing a Gabriela Rose coat or jacket, you know you're wearing something truly individual. Whether it's the lining, the fabric or a subtle design detail, it's incredibly unlikely you'll meet someone wearing exactly the same piece.

The Game Fair was also made memorable by the incredible friends who generously gave up their time to help us throughout the weekend. Running a stand of this size simply wouldn't have been possible without their support, and I'm enormously grateful for every helping hand.

One of my friends, originally from Australia but now living in London, had never been to a traditional British country show before. He absolutely loved every minute of it. He was fascinated by the atmosphere, the countryside traditions, the fashion, and the warm, friendly people who visited our stand. Our customers certainly enjoyed chatting with him too – his Australian accent and big smile were a real hit! It was wonderful to see the event through his eyes and be reminded just how special these uniquely British occasions really are.

After months of preparation, three incredibly busy days, and the considerable investment that goes into exhibiting at an event of this scale, there's certainly a lot to think about. We'll be taking some time to reflect before deciding whether we'll return to The Game Fair next year.
